Coaching Career: 2015-16 will be Coach Krueger's 9th year with the Spartans and 7th as a Head Coach. The Varsity team has successfully made it to the playoff each year he has been in charge. They have also advanced as far as the Regional Quarterfinals over the past three years. This most recent season was a record breaking year, which left them ranked 32nd in the nation. They advanced to the Regional Tournament for the first time since joining 5A. They also posted the best overall record in school history (21-2-4) and took home the first District Title since joining 5A. Throughout his career at Seven Lakes, Coach Krueger has worked with numerous players who are now playing at the collegiate level. Since joining the staff, the Spartan Soccer Program has enjoyed an overall record of 231-80-65.
Playing Career: Coach Krueger grew up playing soccer in New Orleans, Louisiana. He later moved to Katy and played for Katy High School, where he still remains one of the top goal scorers in Katy history. After a successful four years on Varsity, with numerous individual awards and a couple trips to the Regional Tournament, Coach Krueger went on to play at Midwestern State. He led Midwestern two of the four years in goals scored, was elected All-Conference three times, and helped the Mustangs get to the National Tournament Elite 8 in two seasons. The Mustangs went 56-15-6 during his 4 years. Coach Krueger also played two seasons in BC, Canada, where he compiled 30 goals in just two seasons. He led the entire league in goals his first year, and was elected to the All-Star team where he started against the Scottish Premier team Hearts.
