g. Present all scholarships at Seven Lakes High School’s Senior Awards ceremony. Individual and team sports are built around preparation and practice. The very concept of regular practice is often to create a competitive advantage over your opponent. Often there can be a fine line between competitive advantage and breaking the rules. Considering recent events, please describe how you define that line and the difference between the two. The debate about paying college athletes has gone on for years. On one side there’s the belief that a college student-athlete should be paid because it’s often the students’ names and images on products and in advertising, so they should receive some of the profits. On the other side the argument is the student-athletes receive a scholarship as payment for their talents. On what side of the debate do you land on and why? Submissions should be delivered to the Seven Lakes High School counselor’s office by April 3, 2020. Email sevenlakesabcscholarship@gmail.com if you have any questions.
